Since I have started this whole experiment, many things have happened. One of them was getting my dream job, that actually takes most of my time and I can barely write. At least not a lot.
See, that's what I do most of the day now. Write. When I get back home I don't want to write more. I don't want to sit next to the computer more. But I do want that experiment going, and to keep this blog going.
But truth is, off my list, only one thing happened so far. Only the job thing. That's regardless to the things I cannot measure (like being more creative, etc). Even the whole reason I started this experiment, the trip to Europe, might not happen because my friend is too busy at work and might not be able to come. I do visualize that we'll meet, but who knows, right?
Anyway, until now one things has happened, many might have happened, some might or might not happen, and that's the way I would have liked to keep it going.
But that's not the case.
Ladies and gentlemen - this is fail #1!
Earlier this week I have posted about Conan O'brien coming to Israel and my wish you meet him. Today I have learned that it won't happen. He sent a crew, but he won't be coming. Therefore, that's the first fail.
I suspect it was because of Bar Refaeli, who appeared on his show recently, and her remark about, well, just watch:
The Law of Attraction
Have you heard about "The law of attraction"? You suppose to think of what you want to achieve and you'll get it, as long as your thoughts are positive. Well, this blog, at this moment, is an experiment. Lets see how it goes.

Meet Coco
It has been a while since I last wrote, and finally a weekend that won't be that busy so I do plan to update. I am going to add another thing on the list, though.
Meet Conan O'brien. I don't know how, but it's on the list.
Of course, I wasn't just adding it. This week Madonna is going to perform in Israel, and she has landed today. Seems like Conan is going to be here too, to interview her. That's why I allowed myself to dream big.
So I am going to meet Conan O'brien!

Now what?
So it seems like things are going well. I am during the second week at work and I like it, I feel I learn a lot and also I get more responsibilities.
Even the whole trip to Europe to meet up with my friend is forming.
However, it seems I can't have the peace of mind to continue with the experiment. While on the bus/train to work I find it very hard to clear my mind and think. At home I barely have the time either as I get back very late. I don't want to give up on the experiment, but I need to find a different approach.
And to post more.

A small note
Ok, so my week is over and it's time for the weekend. I will also try to write a bit more about my experience in the last few weeks, but I need to rest.
In the meanwhile I want to share something about my friend Megan (could also be named - MeeeeeeyyyyyGaaaaan) who I wrote about a couple of weeks back. Apparently in Arkansas they finally realized she's something to write about and so they did. Pay close attention to the title.
(I'll beg her to scan it and share the whole thing with us, or on her blog).
Have a great weekend!

A small update
So, almost the end of week one at work and I have to say I like it. I like it a lot.
I can't say if that's my dream job, as requested on the list, but it's for sure a job I imagined myself doing for some time.
All in all - I am happy.
I will post more during the weekend, just didn't want to neglect my project :)

Crossing off
Today was a special day.
I was able to cross something off the list.
Promise to write about it all as soon as possible, but in the meanwhile, check out the list.

I've always been a fool
One of my favorite movies is "Big Fish". I remember watching it in the cinema when it just came out and during intermission (yes, back in the day in Israel they used to have intermission in the middle of the movie) I found myself enchanted.
The story, Tim Burton's direction, the vibe of the film and the characters were only supporting actors to the real thing that got me into it. Story telling.
The main character reminded me of my grandfather, my father and as I wished back then - myself.
I loved how that character, first play by Ewan McGregor and later by Albert Finney, was taking a small simple experience and making an amazing story out of it. Just the other day I had a talk with a friend visiting me and he told me I always have amazing things coming my way, always have a good story to tell. I think we all do, but I guess it's all about how we tell them.
One thing that I remember and take from that film, probably the most, is the following:
I can recall many "only a fool will continue" situations in my life, and in all of them, when I chose to be a fool, I succeeded. At times, I got what I wanted. In others, I won the battle but lost the war. But what it comes to show us is that sometimes we have to follow our dreams, put the effort it what we want.
I can relate it to the other video I posted just a while back, by Randy Pauche - the brick wall is not there to stop us, it's just there to show us how bad we want it.
And on that note, tomorrow I will cross one thing off my list. Cheers!
